I really enjoyed this story. I have read the other six books in the series and was excited for Rio to finally have his story. His and Darcy's romance was sweet, and I loved how he always looked out for her well-being and took care of her. The worst part about the books in this series is that they end! In this book there were things discussed that the characters promised to a dress later and then didn't, which I wish we could have seen. Still another fantastic romantic suspense!!!Product details

Book 7 of this series was excellent. I hope there will be many more just like it!
As this story opens we are introduced to a character who played a small role in the last book. Also introduced was his sister . . . if you are a reader of this series, you will know what that means.
This book contains a really interesting mystery -- one that seemed to center around a Victorian house that is over 100 years old. The old house's most recent occupant had been a hoarder who had been murdered! A determined new resident of Otter Creek purchased the house, the hoarders belongings included, and hoped to bring back the beauty of the old place. Now, the mystery begins!
Another of this author's wonderful mysteries unfolds with all the intensity, suspense and intrigue that made the storylines of this series successful. I really enjoyed the characters in the story and the mystery was every bit as enjoyable as the others, with twists and turns that left me wanting more!
As always, what is absent and on purpose, too, is the profanity that often dominates a book, as well as graphic violence and blatantly sexual scenes. It's refreshing to read a mystery that is not clogged by what is unnecessary to enjoy a book!

J This is a good story but for me there is just too much small town daily drama. It neutralizes some of the suspense and interrupts the flow of the plot. I like the characters but am tired of the word "sweetheart". I am 3/4 of the way through and I find myself just itching to get to the action and excitement, that I certainly hope is coming.
I really enjoy this series. Mystery, romance, and a happy ending. Darcy and Rio were a great couple. Due to illness, Darcy had to retire from being a pianist. She came to Otter Creek to open a deli and reconnect with her brother after being on the road. She bought a Victorian house where several people had been murdered years ago and where a treasure of coins was hidden. There were several attempts on Darcy's life by someone wanting the treasure of coins. Read the book and enjoy the mystery and romance of Darcy and Rio.
