One of the more unusual pieces of nonfiction I've ever read, two parts lyrical travel writing to one part development economics. The switch from an account of a trek across an empty wilderness to an argument for how cargo drones could revolutionize the continent is wholly unexpected (sorry for the spoiler). Yet somehow it works, held together by Ledgard's gorgeous prose and deep connection to Africa. Short, fascinating and heartfelt.
Very happy that I purchased and read this Ledgard offering.
Only critique is that this three part work has two Part II section titles. This typo should be easy to fix.
